We are looking for an Information Security Officer to join our bank. This role is to proactively protect Seychelles Commercial Bank’s information, digital channels, and technology assets by anticipating, preventing, and responding to cyber threats.
Job Description
Key Focus and Responsibilities:
- Real-Time Monitoring and Incident Response
- Access, Privilege and Credential Management
- Penetration Testing, Patching and Remediation
- Vendor and Outsourced Security Service Oversight
- Regulatory, Compliance Reporting and Documentation
- Staff Training, Awareness and Security promotion Culture
- Policy implementation, Incident Response (IR) and Escalation Documentation
Job Requirement
Education, Competencies & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, or related field
- Professional certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent (Advantageous)
- 3–5 years direct operational cybersecurity experience (banking/regulated sector preferred)
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with CBS, NIST, ISO, and Seychelles cyber regulatory frameworks
- Experience in SIEM/SOC operations, escalation protocols
- Strong understanding of risk, audit, and evidence documentation
- Experience in staff training, communication, and cross-department collaboration
