We are looking for an Internal Audit Clerk to join our bank. This role supports the Internal Audit function by verifying transactions, ensuring compliance with Bank policies and Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS) regulations, and assisting with branch inspections and audit activities.
Job Description
Key Focus and Responsibilities:
- Verify the accuracy of transactions processed by branches and departments, ensuring correct posting in Bank’s systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and CBS regulatory guidelines.
- Identify, report, and follow up on errors or discrepancies to ensure timely correction.
- Assist with branch inspections and surprise spot checks, including review of daily and back office transactions.
- Conduct physical verification of cash, including vaults and ATMs.
- Compile and submit audit findings to senior audit staff for inclusion in audit reports.
- Assist with verification of bond draws and destruction of bank assets in accordance with approved procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Head of Internal Audit.
Job Requirement
Required Qualifications
- IGCSE or Diploma in Business Studies and Accounting
- AAT Certificate
Required Experience
- Experience in banking operations
- Prior exposure to an audit function
