Job Description
Job Purpose
Inventory Planning: Manage end-to-end inventory workflows, optimize stock levels, and streamline material provisioning. In this role, you will bridge the gap between supply chain planning, procurement, and cross-functional operations (maintenance and production) to ensure high service rates, seamless work order execution, and cost-efficient inventory control.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Master Data Governance & Standardization
- Process and categorize incoming inventory requests (including new item creation, description updates, Minimum-Maximum changes, or item cancellations).
- Ensure technical descriptions of parts in SAP are standardized, accurate, and easily understood by internal users, the purchasing department, and external suppliers.
- Audit SAP records regularly to identify, merge, or eliminate duplicate, outdated, and obsolete items, preventing non-moving stock from entering the inventory.
- Inventory Planning & Parameter Optimization
- Maintain and manage core inventory planning parameters (such as ROP, ROQ, and EOQ) across all stock items.
- Analyze forecasting, replenishment planning, and stocking strategies to balance inventory levels, reduce holding costs, and maintain high service rates.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to optimize the values and quantities of stored parts and equipment.
- Procurement Support & Purchase Request (PR) Management
- Analyze, process, and make decisions on confirming purchase requests in alignment with operational demand and material standardization goals.
- Participate in new equipment purchase checks (“first fill”) to ensure assets are properly catalogued and identified before active maintenance or operational use.
- Maintenance Readiness & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate on short- and long-term material ordering strategies across diverse service and operational areas.
- Ensure spare parts and equipment required for work orders are fully available before scheduling maintenance or operations.
- Communicate closely with internal stakeholders—including maintenance teams, production units, and departmental planners—to ensure seamless workflow execution.
- Performance Tracking, Reporting & Compliance
- Design, implement, and maintain management reports and tracking sheets (such as sector follow-up sheets) to monitor operational progress.
- Monitor and report on individual and departmental KPIs.
