Star Seychelles is seeking to recruit a dynamic, committed and highly motivated candidate to fill the above position.

Job Description

Main Duties:

To manage waste on the landfill on a daily basis and ensure control of the vehicle’s movement at the Landfill without interrupting the operations whereby the wastes are properly compacted.

Responsibilities:

• Control the vehicle’s movement at the Landfill.
• Advising the incoming vehicle where to go and when to proceed to the designated areas as sometimes the vehicles have to queue up before their turn, Eg: putrescent waste at the designated hole, normal waste at the designated dumping zone, Scrap metal at designated area.
• Works under the LWMA, instruction.
  • From 07.00am to 16.00 pm on weekdays Monday to Friday,
  • From 07.00am to 13.00 pm on Saturday, and
  • From 07.00am to 12.00 pm on Sunday and public holidays.

Job Requirements

• Basic education (secondary level preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks when required.
