Lecturer – ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SCIENCES
Work location: National Institute of Health and Social Studies, Mont Fleuri
Job Description
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Teaches a maximum of 20 hours per week in classroom or clinical settings.
- Research, plan and deliver lessons to students.
- Identifying suitable learning resources.
- Assess and evaluates students’ performance.
- Maintain student’s records.
- Make suggestions and participate in curriculum review and development.
- Engage in preparation of time tables and students’ clinical placement.
- Organized and liaise with other organizations for work attachments for students.
- Engage in developing knowledge in field of practice.
- Implement all procedures relating to teaching and learning.
- Carry out clinical teaching in practical labs and work placements.
- Supervise and assess students whilst in practicing in clinical labs and on clinical placement.
- Supervise inventory and assist with maintenance of clinical labs.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities.
- Assist with pastoral care of students.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualification/Experience Requirements:
- Diploma in Environmental Health Sciences and demonstrated aptitude for teaching plus at least five years post qualifying work experience and evidence of continuous professional development.
- Candidate must be registered and licensed to practice by the Health Professional Council (HPC).
