The Housing Finance Company is looking for suitable candidates to fill the above position.
Responsible to: Chief Executive Officer
Purpose of the post: To provide legal advice and support to the Chief Executive Officer and HFC on legal, regulatory, contractual, corporate governance and operational matters.
Job Description
Main Responsibilities Include
- Provide legal advice to the Board, Chief Executive Officer, management and departments.
- Draft, review and vet contracts, agreements and legal documents.
- Provide legal support on mortgage, housing finance, securities and property-related matters.
- Manage litigation, disputes and debt recovery matters in liaison with external counsel where required.
- Support regulatory compliance, corporate governance, statutory filings and legal risk management.
- Provide legal awareness and guidance to staff on key legal and compliance matters.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Law plus three (3) years’ experience in a similar position, or professional legal qualification plus two (2) years’ experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of Seychelles legal and regulatory framework is essential.
- Experience in banking, financial services or housing finance will be an advantage.
