Job Description
Main Purpose of the Job:
The role of the Liaison Officer is to support the work of the Office of the Vice President by coordinating with Ministries, Departments, and other stakeholders. The officer handles public enquiries, manages appointments and visitors, assists with media activities, conducts site visits, prepares reports, and carries out any other duties assigned by the Vice-President.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities between members from the different portfolios under the Vice-President’s Office.
- Liaise with Ministries/Departments and other Government Authorities to facilitate the work of the Vice-President’s Office.
- Attend to queries/grievances emanating from members of the Public referred to the Vice-President’s Office.
- Provide appropriate reply and advice to stakeholders.
- Carry out site visits whenever required and produce reports thereon.
- Attend to visitors with scheduled appointments to meet the Vice-President.
- Liaise with media for interviews and coverage of events related to the Vice-President Office, working in close collaboration with the Protocol Department.
- Carry out research duties and submit report.
- Any other related duties assigned by the Vice-President.
Benefits
Salary Band: SB 1 – SB 2 plus allowances
Job Requirements
Minimum Entry Requirements:
- Diploma in a relevant field;
- 1 to 3 years as Public Relations Officer/Assistant Administration Officer in a relevant field.
