Logistic Manager

Job Description

In order to manage and develop the logistics process for a catalog of more than 6.500 products. Logistics Manager responsibilities include organizing and monitoring storage and distribution of goods.

Main tasks and responsibilities:               

• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
• Caring for the clearing of goods just in time in collaboration with customs, agriculture and our clearing department
• Leading the goods reception process by a correct identification and counting of products and the transfer of data to the Purchasing Department
• Caring for an optimal warehouse management with focus on optimizing the space, making sure that the warehouse material is always in order, caring for the respect of security rules, informing the sales and purchasing teams regarding expiry dates
• Caring for the orders preparation processing according to customers expectations and for the transport of goods to the customer’s premises
• Leading the warehouse, orders preparation and transport teams
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
• Directing, optimizing and coordinating full order cycle
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency

Job Requirements

Profile:

The ideal candidates should meet the following requirements:

• A university degree
• At least 3 years working experience in logistics preferably in the food industry and on international level with food transport process both by air and by sea
• Perfect knowledge written and spoken of English and Dutch, our major logistics platform being in the Dutch speaking part of Belgium
• Must be goal oriented and have excellent knowledge of logistics technics
• Must have strong analytical and business skills
• Very good knowledge of Excel is a must
• Strong communication skills
• Capacity to make decisions
• Accurate sense of details
• Team spirit
