We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Logistics Weighbridge Officer to join our team at Cementis (Seychelles) Limited. It is the front line of operation and delivery. It consists mainly of weighing, checking and controlling all deliveries in and out in a safe way and gives the best services to our clients and contributes to the success of Cementis.

Job Description

Health & Safety Management 

  • Abiding to Group Policies and following Procedures scrupulously.
  • Having knowledge of the main requirements of group standards and advisories.
  • Reporting any dangerous situation, near misses or unsafe act/condition to Management.
  • Participating in and contributing to safety month activities or other safety related events organized by the Company.
  • Leading/Attending toolbox talks organized by your department
  • Maintaining all PPE issued to you by the Company
  • Participating in the risk analysis of activities performed by you, as and when required.
  • Keeping management informed of all new work processes put in place in your department to enable proper risk analysis.

Operations Duties 

  • Ensure all vehicles are weighed and recorded correctly.
  • Ensure random bag count checks/weight control are done by security officers and variances highlighted to manager and plant supervisors.
  • To record pallets and slings return and record same for KPI.
  • Submit daily reports on time.
  • To update stock report and bulk in transit every day.
  • Ensure proper filing and archiving of documents.
  • Ensure bulk deliveries are as per client request and communicated to customers for any delay.
  • To implement customer orientation action.
  • To liaise with transporters on and when required.
  • Leverage on the improved lead time.
  • To prepare bags deliveries as per loader day to day and submit to accounts department at the end of each week
  • Update daily sales report and transactions report to Management
  • To dispatch to depot as per their request and record properly transactions done
  • Ensure that all transfer trucks are fully strapped before leaving WB.
  • To ensure all transactions are done in Business Central.
  • Perform any other cognate duties as assigned, in line with the needs of the organization.

Reporting

  • Update ERP with all sales invoices and receipts.
  • Report any mismatch in transactions.
  • To ensure completeness and provide support to Finance team particularly on end of month closing period.

Qualifications and experience

Educational Background / Qualifications:

  • Higher School Certificate

Technical Competency:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Pack Office
