Job Description

Purpose:

The role of the Materials Storekeeper-Materials store is to manage daily operations/activities of stock movements including the receiving and issuing of all materials and components for all departments in a controlled environment ensuring that the processes are in line with the Company policies and procedures and supporting all compliance initiatives relating to the areas of responsibility.

Top Accountabilities

  • Receive and verify/account for all materials as they come in from ports or offloaded from containers.
  • Provide accurate count of receipt of materials to Materials Supervisor in timely manner.
  • Ensure all materials are labelled correctly and accurately abiding to First In First Out (FIFO) concept and batch management process
  • Guide Forklift Operator to stack and place materials in the appropriate specified location in such manner that would not impact on quality & ensure security of goods at all times.
  • Physically issue materials only upon receipt of requisition.
  • Produce stock movement and stock counts of 05 materials on daily basis.
  • Ensure data reconciliation with other stakeholders for material usage
  • Support with stock taking and highlight and resolve differences
  • Ensure all warehouses and storage facilities are safe, clean and tidy at all times.
  • Ensure that operations undertaken at the area and under your responsibility are conducted in the safest possible way driving PPE compliance across all our activities.

Job Requirements

Qualifications + Experience

  • Diploma in Business Studies or over 3 years experience in stores management.
  • Stores Management qualifications.

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Knowledge of our SKU, bottles types and pallets configurations
  • Experience in loading and offloading as per relevant documentations
  • Broad experience customers relationship
  • Computer Skills
  • Effective Communications skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and achievement oriented
  • Structured and organised approach to work
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise
  • Have experience in managing stocks and be able carry out stock counts and reconciliation.
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Strong problem solving ability
