The Islands Development Company Ltd is looking for a suitably qualified and motivated candidate to occupy the following position:
Medical Officer
Job Description
Summary of duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the IDC clinic on an outer island.
- Conduct medical examinations for new recruits and employees renewing their contracts.
- Provide medical advice and support to employees and residents on the island.
- Manage pharmaceutical center on the island.
- Oversee the performance of the island nurse.
- Promote health education, hygiene, environmental health and proper sanitation of drinking water.
- Provide emergency medical care, including minor emergency procedures.
- Assist with medical evacuations and refer patients to appropriate specialists when required.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure the confidentiality of patient information.
- Ensure that health protocols and standards are properly implemented in the clinic.
- Monitor and report on the health conditions of island staff and activities of the clinic.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Medical Officer/CEO.

Remuneration: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Job Requirements
Minimum Entry Requirements
- Medical Degree with relevant specialised training.
- Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience.
- Fluency in Hindi language will be an advantage.
