Job Description
Job Summary
Responsible for collecting, compiling, analyzing, and reporting on fishing effort data and in addition acknowledging, verifying, and approving of port entry requests, license applications and transshipments (at sea or in port).
Responsibilities
- Monitoring of fishing vessels to ensure compliance with set fishing conditions, conservation and management measures, and relevant domestic and international fisheries l
- Monitoring of EEZ using applicable technologies for detecting possible illegal activities
- Crosschecking and analyzing all submitted fisheries data and report as necessary on discrepancies between reports
- Ensuring vessels are compliant to agreed fishing conditions, including the submission of fishing catch and effort in prescribed form and manner
- Authorizing and monitoring at sea, and in port transshipments pursuant to adopted operations procedures

Job Requirements
Education (Special Knowledge)/Qualifications
A Level in English, French, Geography, Law as a bonus plus two years in a relevant field
Experience
- Background or experience with GIS a plus
- Efficient in Microsoft Excel, Database, MS Word, Outlook
Essential
Driving License Class 2.
