Job Description
Summary of Duties
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of computer networks including hardware/software support
- Assist in coordinating projects including network related wiring plans, LAN/WAN hardware/software purchases, and system installation, backup, maintenance and problem solving
- Provide network and remote connectivity hardware/software support
- Analyse and troubleshoots the network logs and tracks the nature and resolution of problems
- Monitor usage to ensure security of data and access privileges
- Install, support and maintain both physical and virtual network servers and appliances
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot the SAN
- Establish and maintain user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges and security
- Perform daily server disk and tape backups; research, analyse, monitor, troubleshoot and resolve server or data network problems
- Keep current regarding new hardware/software products for system enhancements
- Establish and maintain user e-mail accounts
- Provide e-mail training and software support
- Manage anti-spam and anti-virus servers
- Research and troubleshoot e-mail problems by reviewing mail logs, records, and network configurations
- Establish and maintain card key access accounts
- Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve telecommunications related problems
- Conduct inventories on telecommunications equipment
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- A Level in computer science other related areas; such education should be at a level which demonstrates the ability to perform duties comparable to those listed herein.
- Network Administration Certificate such as Network+ is preferred
- 1 year of experience in a Network related or similar position
Technical skills should include but not limit to:
- TCP/IP, routing, VLAN, VPN, LDAP, MS Exchange Server, MS Windows Server, MSSQL Server, Cisco routers/switches, Cisco IOS, Linux, ADS, VMWARE, BES, DNS, LAMP, IIS, AJAX, MVC, load-balancing, and firewall
Desirable
- Possession of a valid Seychelles driver’s license
- Ability and willingness to travel on work assignments
- Willingness to work additional hours during the week, public holidays and/or weekend, if require
