Job Description
Purpose
Grow SBL’s off-trade distribution, visibility, and rate of sale across Mahe by executing disciplined outlet coverage, ensuring planogram and pricing compliance, and driving promotions and POSM placement across retail and wholesale accounts. The role operates under the direction of the Off-Trade Sales Manager and is responsible for delivering consistent execution standards across the island’s largest and most competitive off-trade market.
Top Accountabilities
- Execute a structured call plan across all assigned off-trade retail and wholesale accounts on Mahe.
- Sell the full SBL/PBL off-trade portfolio across all assigned accounts, including beer, CSD, RTD, and spirits.
- Ensure planogram, shelf visibility, chiller, and display compliance across all outlets.
- Monitor and correct pricing violations, escalating persistent issues to the Off-Trade Sales Manager.
- Place POSM and activate promotional plans as directed by the Off-Trade Sales Manager.
- Coordinate order management and stock replenishment for assigned accounts in line with the distribution schedule.
- Track and report competitor activity across all assigned off-trade accounts on Mahe.
- Submit accurate daily call reports with 100% compliance.
- Identify new off-trade outlet opportunities and report findings to the Off-Trade Sales Manager.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with outlet owners and retail staff within the assigned territory.
- Represent SBL/PBL at trade activations, in-store events, and brand activations on Mahe.

Job Requirements
Qualifications + Experience
- IGCSE or equivalent secondary school qualification.
- Diploma or Degree in Business Management or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales or a customer-facing role.
- Valid driving licence and ability to cover the assigned Mahe territory independently.
- Experience in off-trade or retail sales environments, preferably within FMCG.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Familiarity with the Mahe retail landscape and key off-trade customer base.
Competencies & Skills
- Strong salesmanship and self-motivation to achieve targets under pressure.
- Commercially astute with a solid understanding of retail execution tools and in-store standards.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with Mahe retail operators across all outlet formats.
- Ability to identify growth opportunities and translate insights into action.
- Good communication and escalation discipline – keeps the Off-Trade Sales Manager informed.
- Disciplined in reporting and data management with consistent follow-through on commitments.
- Well-organised with strong route planning and time management skills.
