Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional and dynamic People & Culture Officer to join our Human Resources department. This role is designed to support management and staff in enhancing their effectiveness, ultimately delivering the highest quality of service to all stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in HR administration, with a specialization in Payroll, Learning and Development, Talent and Performance Management, and Recruitment. A strong working knowledge of employment laws, regulations, industrial relations, and best industry practices is essential.

We are looking for a tactful, adaptable individual with a proactive mindset who can anticipate issues. Discretion and the ability to uphold confidentiality at all times are crucial.

The responsibilities of this position will be diverse, challenging, and inspiring, with potential for growth into higher roles.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • A HND or Degree in Human Resources Management, or relevant field.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in Human Resources Management.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively at all levels of the organization with tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity.
  • Knowledgeable in local employment law and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence others to make sound decisions.
  • Proficient in analytical thinking, critical reasoning, strong judgment, and decision-making.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Adaptable and flexible in approach.
  • Advanced multitasking abilities.
  • Honest, trustworthy, confident, calm, goal-oriented, a team player, and people-focused.
  • Can multi-task and work under pressure
  • Ability to listen and comprehend employee matters.
  • Excellent IT skills, (MS, HR systems knowledge, Outlook)
  • Good organization and time management skills with ability to recognize and prioritize matters of urgency.
  • Flexible and can work on own initiative.
  • Ability to deliver training.
  • Clean Police character certificate.
  • Class 2 driving licence
