Title: People & Learning Manager
Reports to: Group General Manager / Human Resources Manager

Location: Seychelles (with travel across Blue Safari properties as required)
Job Description
Purpose of Role
The People & Learning Manager is responsible for creating a positive employee experience by supporting learning, development, wellbeing and engagement across Blue Safari Seychelles.
The role helps build a culture where people feel welcomed, valued, supported and inspired to grow while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Results Areas & Activities
Learning and Development
- Develop and coordinate learning and development programmes.
- Identify training needs with department managers.
- Organise induction and onboarding for new employees.
- Maintain training records and monitor learning progress.
Employee Engagement
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Coordinate employee recognition and engagement activities.
- Organise team-building events and wellbeing initiatives.
- Gather employee feedback and recommend improvements.
Talent Development
- Support career development and succession planning.
- Encourage internal promotions and growth opportunities.
- Build relationships with schools and training institutions to support future talent.
Wellbeing
- Promote employee wellbeing across all properties.
- Support employees working in remote locations.
- Coordinate wellness and social programmes that improve employee experience.
Culture and Communication
- Promote Blue Safari’s values and culture.
- Support internal communication and employee events.
- Encourage collaboration between departments and properties.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Psychology, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 4 years in an HR, People & Culture, Employee Engagement, or related people-facing role — ideally within the hospitality or tourism sector. Experience in remote, island, or multi-site environments is highly advantageous.
Language
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential. French and/or Seychellois Creole is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HR management platforms; strong written communication and documentation skills.
Certificates
- Relevant HR or People & Culture certification is advantageous (e.g. CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent). First Aid certification desirable.
