ACCS is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the post of Prevention Officer.

Job Description

Job Summary:

The selected candidate will provide essential support in public education and awareness programs aimed at combating corruption and unethical practices, in alignment with the Anti-Corruption Act. The role focuses on raising public awareness, fostering integrity, and supporting the development of effective strategies to prevent corruption within public and private institutions. Reporting directly to the Prevention Manager, the candidate will assist in delivering anti-corruption initiatives, preparing communication materials, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with stakeholders to promote ethical standards and accountability.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist senior staff in the daily operations of the Unit.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging talks, lectures, and seminars to raise public awareness about corruption prevention.
  • Develop and distribute communication materials to promote public support for anti-corruption efforts.
  • Educate children and youth on core values such as honesty and integrity.
  • Communicate available channels for public complaints and inquiries.
  • Conduct Corruption Risk Assessments and recommend improvements to systems and procedures in public bodies.
  • Collaborate with public and private institutions to provide technical guidance on anti-corruption practices and policies.
  • Prepare reports on the outcomes of anti-corruption initiatives, including talks, seminars, and awareness campaigns, and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on developments in the field and recommend relevant improvements.
  • Submit quarterly activity reports to the Prevention Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with Anti-Corruption legislation, policies, and protocols.
  • Represent the Commission in external meetings and committees when required.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Uphold the highest ethical, moral, and legal standards in all work.

Job Requirement

Minimum requirements:

  • Post Secondary graduate from business and education related fields with a minimum of five years formal experience in dealing with the public in an education, enforcement, inspection, compliance, investigation, or customer service capacity.

Desirable qualifications and experience:

  • Have an understanding of the Anti-Corruption Act 2016 (as amended), AML Act 2020 and other related legislation applicable to financial and economic crimes, with a focus on corruption, illicit financial flows and money laundering.
  • A degree in relevant field with minimum 3 years working experience. Preferred major fields of study are Business administration, Education, Compliance and Enforcement Professional Qualifications
  • Be experienced in the delivery of education programs

Type of position: Permanent, full-time position

Work conditions:

  • Work is performed primarily in an office setting
  • Working in a fast-paced and versatile environment.
  • Required to conduct external presentations or represent the organisation in Court.
  • May be required to drive to attend to role-related functions.

Working hours per week: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday
