Job Description
Summary of Duties
- To train and supervise a team of staff within respective sections, including coaches where applicable and regularly plan and organize appropriate sports activities / programmes.
- Ensure that Federations plan and manage their budgets properly and also organize and train coaches to upgrade their qualifications.
- Assist the Director in the development of policies, preparation and implementation of strategic plans aimed at developing sports initiatives.
- Manage, coordinate and provide the strategic lead for sports development with the aim of maximizing financial resources and partnerships.
- Assist with the implementation of the strategic planning process which identifies priority action programmes for sport development.
- Ensure that effective consultation, procedures, appropriate performance indicators and management information systems are established which provide an accurate measure of the performance of sports services.
Job Requirement
Recognized Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any sports related field plus 3 years work experience as a Sports Officer
- Advance diploma in Sports Management or equivalent qualifications plus 3 years work experience as a Sports Officer
- Diploma in Sports Management or equivalent qualifications plus 4 years work experience as a Sports Officer.
