Job Description

• Management role for a remote research base located in Cap Ternay, Mahe
• Responsible for long term project planning, budgeting, overseeing and managing all staff and volunteers.
• Oversees the daily scheduling and daily running of the program.
• Responsible for partner building and relationship management.
• Guiding the science team with the project’s scientific goals.
• Guiding the dive team with the project’s diving goals.
• Reporting to the offsite Program Director.

Job Requirements

• Management experience 5+ years.
• Volunteer management experience 5+ years.
• Long term budgeting experience.
• Powerboat Level 2 licence (or higher) and boat handling experience.
• Manual drivers licence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Documents.
• Valid First Aid/CPR Qualification.
• PADI Divemaster or higher qualification.
• Experience managing remote operations.

Desired Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science or experience in a relevant field.
• Experience in boat and engine maintenance and repair.
• Experience in living in a remote location with minimal supervision.
• PADI Instructor.
