Air Seychelles is in search of Ramp Agents to load and unload containers, baggage and freight safely and efficiently for timely flight turnarounds, adhering to regulatory requirements, company policies and customer airline procedures.
Job Description
A summary of your responsibilities will include but not necessarily limited to the following:
- Responsible for safe execution of any given ramp duties subject to relevant training levels being achieved including, but not limited to, safe loading and unloading of aircrafts in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Promptly report any unauthorized baggage to the Turnaround Coordinator (TRC).
- Identify and promptly report, to the TRC, hazardous or leaking packages that may cause danger to the aircraft or loading personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness of ground handling equipment and other designated areas.
- Assist with the distribution of umbrellas to arriving and departing passengers when necessary.
- Assist with the embarking and disembarking of passengers in wheelchairs and stretchers.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations – wear company-allocated Personal Protective Gear (PPE) while on duty for its intended purpose.
- Assist with Cargo duties when required.

Job Requirements
Our Preferred Profile
- Minimum graduate of a secondary institution, preferably with IGCSE qualification in English and Mathematics, with French being a plus.
- Entry level agents trained in Domestic, offloading baggage Make up area and offloading Holds.
- 1 year’s work experience, preferably in a related/similar role.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good physical health (able to push, pull, lift and squat)
- Customer service oriented approach.
- Safety-conscious attitude.
- Good computer literacy.
- Excellent teamwork capabilities
- Able to work competently under pressure
- Must be able to adapt to the airport environment which is subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels.
- Must be able and prepared to work all shift hours, including weekends, nights, public holidays and/or irregular shifts.
