Job Description

Join Cable & Wireless Seychelles as a Risk and Resilience Officer, supporting the Chief Legal, Risk and Compliance Officer in developing, implementing and continuously improving the company’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) frameworks. You will provide second-line oversight of risk identification, assessment, treatment, monitoring and reporting; maintain the enterprise Risk Register; support risk appetite measures, mitigation plans and Key Risk Indicators; and prepare reports for management and the Audit & Risk Committee. As Business Continuity Coordinator, you will coordinate Business Impact Analyses, develop and maintain Business Continuity Plans, organise exercises, tests and audits at least annually, and coordinate tactical recovery and crisis communications to enable timely resumption of prioritised functions following disruption. Working across departments, you will monitor emerging risks and good practice, coordinate risk information requests and relevant investigations, and promote a risk-aware, resilient culture through training, awareness, lessons learned and the coordination of Risk & BCM Champions.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Cybersecurity, Digital Business, Information Technology or another technology-related field, Business Administration, International Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
• CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Auditor, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer and/or ISO 31000 certification.
• 3–5 years’ experience in enterprise risk management and/or business continuity management.
• Working knowledge of recognised risk management and business continuity standards, such as ISO 31000 and ISO 22301.
• Practical experience in maintaining risk registers, conducting Business Impact Analyses, and developing and testing Business Continuity Plans, system analysis, development and implementation of business application solutions or IT project management.
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to multitask.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Good oral, written and presentation skills, with strategic thinking, planning, negotiation and influencing skills.
• A track record of achieving significant influence with risk management and business continuity processes.
• Ability to remain composed and coordinate effectively under pressure during incidents.
• Trustworthiness, confidentiality and exemplary work ethics.
• Willingness to be available outside normal working hours during incidents and Business Continuity Plan exercises.
• A valid driving licence.

Desirable

• Experience in risk management and/or business continuity in the telecommunications sector.
• Enterprise Risk Management Certified Professional (ERMCP) or equivalent.
• Business Continuity Institute certification, such as CBCI, or equivalent.
