Job Description
Position Overview
A dynamic and results-driven Sales & Marketing Manager to play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Sales & Marketing to meet sales targets, foster strong relationships with key clients, and strategically manage your designated territory. Expertise in both sales and marketing, combined with your professionalism and efficiency, will be integral to our success.
Daily Coordination
- Actively participate in morning briefings with the Head of Sales & Marketing and the broader team to ensure clear communication and alignment on objectives.
Key Account Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts, ensuring excellent service and support to foster ongoing business opportunities.
- Develop relationships with tour operators and business partners, offering hospitality through events such as luncheons, cocktails, and dinners.
- Represent Creole at key industry events, including FAM trips, trade fairs, and site inspections.
- Organize and coordinate FAM trips, ensuring seamless execution and showcasing Creole’s services to key partners.
Promotion Management:
- Oversee the coordination of promotions for hotels and Creole Services, including excursions, to maximize sales opportunities and increase visibility.
Proactive Sales Efforts:
- Make regular outbound sales calls to Trade Partners, building and nurturing a robust client base and ensuring continued engagement.
Offer Communication
- Effectively communicate hotel offers from the Contracting Department to relevant markets, ensuring clarity and alignment on offerings.
New Business Development
- Proactively generate new business by participating in sales calls, trade shows, road shows, and other industry events.
Market Intelligence
- Provide detailed sales call reports, competitor analysis, and market insights to the team for use in strategic decision-making.
Quarterly Reporting
- Submit comprehensive quarterly sales and marketing reports to senior management, highlighting performance and key findings.
Competitive Analysis
- Research and analyze competitor activities, providing actionable insights to the Head of Sales & Marketing.
Market Trends Analysis
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging market factors to ensure the company remains competitive and well-positioned.
Reporting & Database Management
- Ensure the timely and accurate submission of all requested reports and maintain up-to-date databases of key accounts and tour operators.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with Reservations and other departments to foster a cohesive and collaborative environment.
Upselling & Cross-Selling
- Promote Creole’s offerings including sister hotel companies , such as Cat Cocos and Le Domaine De L’Orangerie, to maximize sales potential.
Sales & Marketing Support
- Assist the Head of Sales & Marketing with various tasks, contributing to the success of the department and overall company goals.
Weekly Departmental Collaboration:
- Participate in weekly meetings with Operations, Transport, and Reservations departments to organize and coordinate VIP arrivals, bespoke programs, and special client requirements.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth logistics and timely execution of high-profile and customized client experiences.
Collaboration with Reservations & E-Commerce Department:
- Work closely with the Reservations Department to ensure accurate records of all sales conditions, statistics, and bookings.
- Ensure that sales conditions and information are consistently up-to-date across all systems.
Marketing Support Responsibilities:
- Support the development of the annual marketing plan and strategy, contributing ideas for market expansion.
- Assist in identifying new market opportunities and coordinating action plans to penetrate those markets.
- Aid in the execution of marketing initiatives and provide regular feedback on performance and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the PR, Branding, and Marketing teams to promote Creole Travel Services and contribute to e-news content development.
- Assist in the creation of marketing proposals, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Provide support in creating and updating hotel fact sheets and other marketing materials.
- Develop and target new online markets and tour operator channels to expand the company’s client base.
- Build strategies to increase visibility and revenue from new online and tour operator partnerships.
Quality Management System Compliance (ISO):
- Effectively and efficiently maintain the standards of the company’s ISO quality management system.
- Ensure that all sales, marketing, and operational processes comply with ISO guidelines and contribute to the overall quality standards of the company.
Sales Negotiation & Pricing:
- Negotiate special conditions with hoteliers for online agents and tour operators, including last-minute sales and offers.
- Ensure that negotiated agreements meet both client and company expectations while maintaining competitive pricing strategies.
- Collaboration with Reservations: Work closely with the Reservations Department to ensure accurate records of all sales conditions, statistics, and bookings.
- Ensure that sales conditions and information are consistently up-to-date across all systems.
- Market Expansion & Development: Develop and target new online markets and tour operator channels to expand the company’s client base.
- Build strategies to increase visibility and revenue from new online and tour operator partnerships.
Marketing Database Management:
- Maintain an up-to-date marketing database, including catalogs, key codes, and customer/prospect files.
- Ensure accurate and organized storage of all marketing data to streamline future sales and marketing efforts.
Marketing Fulfillment Coordination:
- Co-ordinate marketing fulfillment duties, including direct mail, packaging, letters, catalogs, and other sales literature to ensure timely and effective distribution.
- Ensure that all promotional materials and correspondence are aligned with the company’s branding and marketing strategy.
System Management:
- Ensure the efficient use of the company’s booking system back office and B2B booking system.
- Provide assistance and training to partners when needed, ensuring they are fully capable of using the booking systems for their needs.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the broader team, including operations, customer service, and management, to ensure a unified approach to business development and client satisfaction.
- Mentor and guide junior sales and marketing staff as needed.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION (KNOWLEDGE):
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Tourism, Hospitality, or related field.
TRAINING (SKILLS):
- Strong business development skills to identify and pursue new growth opportunities.
- Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills to build relationships and engage clients.
- Willingness and readiness to travel for business development, meetings, and events.
- Proven track record in sales and negotiation, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- In-depth knowledge of the destination management industry, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Expertise in digital marketing, including social media, SEO, and email campaigns.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficient in CRM software, booking systems, and marketing tools.
- Familiarity with ISO quality management systems and standards is an advantage.
- Demonstrated drive to succeed and meet business objectives, both independently and as part of a team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and develop data-driven strategies for performance enhancement.
- Deep enthusiasm for the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors, with a focus on achieving business growth.
- Fluency in English and French (additional languages are a plus).
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the travel, tourism, or destination management industry.

Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 8AM – 4:00 PM
- It is expected that you will have to work beyond normal hours at times to meet operational exigencies
Special Working Conditions
- Full-time position, with occasional travel for client meetings, site inspections, and industry events.
- Flexible working hours may be required based on business needs.
