Job Description
Position Overview
A dynamic and results-driven Sales & Marketing Manager to play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Sales & Marketing to meet sales targets, foster strong relationships with key clients, and strategically manage your designated territory. Expertise in both sales and marketing, combined with your professionalism and efficiency, will be integral to our success.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
- Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, including travel agents, tour operators, corporate clients, and event planners.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored destination packages and experiences to meet their requirements.
- Identify new business opportunities and secure new contracts with international and local clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that client expectations are met, and problems are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
Marketing Strategy & Execution:
- Assist the Sales & Marketing Manager in establishing marketing goals to ensure target market share and profitability of products and services.
- Assist in developing and executing marketing plans and programs for allocated markets, both short and long range, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of company products and services in support of the company’s strategic intent.
- Assist in planning advertising and promotional activities, including print, electronic, and direct mail outlets, and oversee such activities for your defined markets.
- Assist in developing and recommending strategies that will result in constantly improving earnings per client in the short term and steady growth in market share over the long run.
- Assist the Sales & Marketing Manager in conducting research, analyzing, and monitoring financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize competitive activity effects.
Collaboration & Networking:
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and create new business opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with local vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure the successful execution of client events, tours, and travel packages.
Weekly Departmental Collaboration:
- Participate in weekly meetings with Operations, Transport, and Reservations departments to organize and coordinate VIP arrivals, bespoke programs, and special client requirements.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth logistics and timely execution of high-profile and customized client experiences.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Monitor sales performance, track leads, and provide regular reports on sales activities, forecasts, and marketing efforts.
- Analyze customer feedback and market trends to improve offerings and customer satisfaction.
- Use data to improve marketing strategies, optimize sales efforts, and achieve business goals.
Marketing Database Management:
- Maintain an up-to-date marketing database, including catalogs, key codes, and customer/prospect files.
- Ensure accurate and organized storage of all marketing data to streamline future sales and marketing efforts.
Marketing Fulfillment Coordination:
- Co-ordinate marketing fulfillment duties, including direct mail, packaging, letters, catalogs, and other sales literature to ensure timely and effective distribution.
- Ensure that all promotional materials and correspondence are aligned with the company’s branding and marketing strategy.
Sales Negotiation & Pricing:
- Negotiate special conditions with hoteliers for online agents and tour operators, including last-minute sales and offers.
- Ensure that negotiated agreements meet both client and company expectations while maintaining competitive pricing strategies.

- Ensure that sales conditions and information are consistently up-to-date across all systems.
Market Expansion & Development:
- Develop and target new online markets and tour operator channels to expand the company’s client base.
- Build strategies to increase visibility and revenue from new online and tour operator partnerships.
Quality Management System Compliance (ISO):
- Effectively and efficiently maintain the standards of the company’s ISO quality management system.
- Ensure that all sales, marketing, and operational processes comply with ISO guidelines and contribute to the overall quality standards of the company.
Sales Negotiation & Pricing:
- Negotiate special conditions with hoteliers for online agents and tour operators, including last-minute sales and offers.
- Ensure that negotiated agreements meet both client and company expectations while maintaining competitive pricing strategies.
Collaboration with Reservations:
- Work closely with the Reservations Department to ensure accurate records of all sales conditions, statistics, and bookings.
- Ensure that sales conditions and information are consistently up-to-date across all systems.

Marketing Database Management:

Marketing Fulfillment Coordination:
- Co-ordinate marketing fulfillment duties, including direct mail, packaging, letters, catalogs, and other sales literature to ensure timely and effective distribution.
- Ensure that all promotional materials and correspondence are aligned with the company’s branding and marketing strategy.
System Management:
- Ensure the efficient use of the company’s booking system back office and B2B booking system.
- Provide assistance and training to partners when needed, ensuring they are fully capable of using the booking systems for their needs.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the broader team, including operations, customer service, and management, to ensure a unified approach to business development and client satisfaction.
- Mentor and guide junior sales and marketing staff as needed.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION (KNOWLEDGE):
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Tourism, Hospitality, or related field.
TRAINING (SKILLS):
- Strong business development skills to identify and pursue new growth opportunities.
- Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills to build relationships and engage clients.
- Willingness and readiness to travel for business development, meetings, and events.
- Proven track record in sales and negotiation, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- In-depth knowledge of the destination management industry, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Expertise in digital marketing, including social media, SEO, and email campaigns.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficient in CRM software, booking systems, and marketing tools.
- Familiarity with ISO quality management systems and standards is an advantage.
- Demonstrated drive to succeed and meet business objectives, both independently and as part of a team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and develop data-driven strategies for performance enhancement.
- Deep enthusiasm for the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors, with a focus on achieving business growth.
- Fluency in English and French (additional languages are a plus).
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the travel, tourism, or destination management industry.

Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 8AM – 4:00 PM
- It is expected that you will have to work beyond normal hours at times to meet operational exigencies
Special Working Conditions
- Full-time position, with occasional travel for client meetings, site inspections, and industry events.
- Flexible working hours may be required based on business needs.
