Position: Senior Banking Officer – Praslin Branch
Responsible to: Branch Manager
Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for supporting the Assistant Branch Manager with the Branch leadership. Supervising the Branch’s operational processes and achievement of deliverables and maintaining a high level of customer service and cash management. Maintaining Compliance with the relevant Legislations and guidelines and In-house Policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coach staff to ensure performance in accordance with the Branch Operations Manual, policies, and regulatory requirements;
- Support the Assistant Branch Manager in monitoring the Branch operations, ensuring efficiency and seamless operation;
- Support with the portfolio of credit evaluation and processing of loan applications ensuring compliance with credit policies and guidelines.
- Support the Assistant Branch Manager in ensuring office discipline and staff are meeting the service delivery standards;
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff, helping them resolve complex transactions and enhance their customer service skills;
- Ensure that the Branch procedures and processes are on par with the business requirements;
- Serve as a primary point of contact for high-value customers, addressing complex inquiries and resolving escalated issues;
- Support the Branch marketing strategy, ensure consistent marketing for the Branch and its products to ensure its profitability;
- Inspect and authorise Opening and Closing of accounts with meticulous precision;
- Assist with reconciliation of Suspense, GL accounts and other relevant accounts;
- Vetting and Approval of Electronic Cheque Clearing – Financial/Technical.

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree level desired preferably Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a professional Banking qualification such as Associate Chartered Banker Diploma, Retail Banking II, or Certified Commercial Lending with 3 years banking experience; or
- At least 5 years’ experience in banking or financial services in an Officer role with strong understanding and skills in Cash management practices, customer service, commercial lending and credit management, plus achievement of a professional Banker Diploma.
