The National Sports Council is looking for a competent, committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic candidate for the position of Senior Facilities Technician.
As the Senior Facilities Technician, you are responsible for overseeing and maintaining sports facilities, ensuring they are safe, functional, and in compliance with regulations.
Job Description
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of sports facilities, including repairing equipment, ensuring safety protocols and regulations are met.
- Manage sports equipment inventory, procure new equipment as needed, and ensure proper storage and maintenance of sports gear and apparatus.
- Supervise a team of technicians, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth operation of the facilities.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in sports equipment, lighting systems, and other facility components. Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs if necessary.
- Maintaining records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, safety inspections, and repairs.
- Assist Senior Project Officer in budget planning, monitor expenses related to facility maintenance and equipment purchases.
Benefits
Salary will depend on qualifications and experience.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements & Other Pre-requisite
- Diploma in Construction plus three years’ relevant work experience in facility maintenance or a related field or
- Certificate in Construction plus five years satisfactory Work experience as facilities technician
