Job Description
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Process and make recommendations for lease applications
- Communicate decisions taken on the lease application and finalise the lease agreement
- Assist in maintaining and managing of the in-house leasehold properties database – updating of master list.
- Evaluate statistics on new leases, assignments, surrenders, rent reviews, arrears, cancellation cases and lease renewal on a quarterly basis
- Compile and submit monthly report on the status of the assigned tasks/lease cases to the Lease Manager
- Assist with tender processes for IEA vacant industrial lands
- Attend site visits for lease related matters when needs be.
- Assist the Lease Manager with the review of the efficiency of the set lease processes and recommend improvements to Chief Executive Officer.
- Assist the Lease Manager with valuation of land and buildings for leasehold purposes in collaboration with Lands Division in MLUH
- Liaise with the Attorney General’s office on legal lease matters and for the drafting and signing of the lease agreements
- Carry out title deed searches relating to companies, land ownership, encumbrances and charges
- Answer verbal and written enquiries with regards to lease matters
- Provide advice and information to the public on lease applications and formalities
- Processing applications from the Seychelles Licensing Authority for businesses located on the Industrial Estates to be inspected and inform the Seychelles Licensing Authority accordingly of the outcome following inspections and keep record thereof;
- Work closely with Inspectorate and Enforcement Section to ensure that any breaches of leases are dealt with promptly and effectively
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor Degree in related field plus seven years working experience
- Advanced Diploma in related field plus six years working experience
- Diploma in related field plus five years working experience
