Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Operates mechanical tools and equipment as required to fabricate or repair industrial parts and equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment, hydraulics, or other mechanical systems
• Should be able to solve mechanical problems
• Interpret and revise electrical schematics, such as wiring and panel drawings
• Need to be able to make effective repairs on site or in workshop.
• Prepare and complete written communications in strict compliance with all requirements.
• Perform assigned duties with a high degree of proficiency and mindfulness of personal safety and those around you.
• Replace defective equipment parts then set specified clearances and adjust alignment of moving and stationary parts using hand and power tools
• Weld, repair and fabricate equipment or machinery as necessary
• Fabricate and dismantle parts, equipment, and machines using a cutting torch or other cutting equipment
• Ensures operation of machinery and equipment by executing preventive maintenance requirements, interpreting technical drawings or diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instruction and engineering specifications
• Maintains a clean, organized and safe work area, such as safety environmental.
• Attends and participates in required training
• Understands and follows all organizational policies, procedures and rules, ensuring that all laws are obeyed and equal employment, safety and environmental protection are practiced
• Must be able to work in excess of eight hours per day or forty hours per week on any shift or travel as needed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to positively apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to positively deal with problems, resolve issues, address client and tenant needs as they relate to the maintenance of the facility
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and projects at the same time
