Senior Quality Assurance Officer (School Inspection)
Job Description
Job Purpose: Participate in the external evaluation of primary and secondary schools to raise the quality of education, by improving the quality of the schools’ self-evaluation processes and by setting standards to enhance the quality of education. Assist in the development of tools and instruments for inspection, and reporting on findings of inspections to the school and the SQA Board.

Job Requirements
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
- Advanced Diploma in Education plus four years’ work experience; or
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Education or Quality Assurance; or
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in a field other than education plus post graduate certificate or post graduate Diploma in education; and
- Master’s Degree in Education or Quality Assurance or relevant field: and
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with every strong command of the English language; and
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills; and
- Managerial and leadership skills; and
- Report writing and research skills: and
- Confident with information technology.
