Position: Senior Relationship Banker
Responsible to: Branch Manager – Privilege Banking Branch
Job Description
Job Summary:
The Privilege Banking Senior Relationship Banker will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the daily operations of the Branch, with a focus on credit and financing solutions, compliance, exceptional customer service, and business development. This role requires a strong leader who is adept at managing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, fostering client relationships, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the credit and financing operations of the branch, including loan applications, approvals, and portfolio management;
- Evaluate and assess creditworthiness of high-net-worth clients, ensuring that all lending decisions adhere to the Bank’s policies and Risk Management Framework;
- Develop and recommend customised financing solutions to meet the unique needs of privilege banking clients;
- Ensure that all Branch operations comply with banking regulations, internal policies, and industry standards;
- Implement and monitor controls to maintain regulatory compliance and safeguard the Branch’s operations;
- Deliver outstanding customer service by understanding and addressing the needs of high-net-worth clients;
- Resolve complex client issues and concerns with a focus on providing timely and effective solutions;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to enhance their banking experience and loyalty;
- Support the Branch Manager in achieving the Branch growth targets and expanding the client base;
- Promote and cross-sell privilege banking products and services to existing and prospective clients;
- Provide training and development opportunities for Branch staff to enhance their skills and service delivery;
- Ensure the efficient functioning of Branch operations, including adherence to operational procedures and standards;
- Assist in the preparation of Branch budgets and financial plans, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Support custodian duties including vault management, cash handling, and daily reconciliation processes.

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Professional qualification in Banking, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field plus extensive experience in banking, with a focus on financing, compliance, and high-net-worth client management.
- Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role within a banking environment is preferred.
Key Competencies
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, and risk management principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proven track record in business development and achieving sales targets
- Proficiency in banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
