Job Description
- To ensure effective liaison between reservations and front office staff.
- To achieve maximum room occupancy within the agreed overbooking policy. Ensure that reservations are taken correctly and courteously.
- To provide training on reservations to front office staff and new recruits, ensuring that they are versed with our reservation system.
- To maintain accurate records and status charts of anticipated and confirmed bookings. Ensure that recording procedures for bookings are strictly adhered to.
- To ensure VIPs are identified and their presence communicated to the relevant departments.
- To arrange alternative suitable accommodation, for a confirmed or regular guest, if the hotel is fully occupied.
- To ensure that reservation details are correctly filed in SharePoint when these have been returned by Reception, once guests have checked in.
- To investigate and take prompt action in the event of a query or complaint.

Job Requirements
- Candidates should have a minimum of 4/5 years of working experience in similar positions in 4- or 5-star hotel establishments.
- Candidates must be well versed with the Opera Reservations system.
- Candidates should be mature, experienced, hardworking, motivated, and responsible people. They should also be honest, disciplined, reliable and flexible. It is desirable that they should be able to work with different nationalities, work split shifts and on public holidays.
- Candidates should be conversant in French and English languages.
