Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design, redesign, build-out, and strategic optimization of core IP networks, HFC, PON/AON, IPTV (multicast/IGMP), Voice (SIP/MGCP), Satellite, Wireless backbone, firewalls, and data center systems
- Develop and implement redundancy, disaster recovery, high-availability architectures, and capacity planning strategies
- Perform advanced root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution for critical network outages, power failures, and performance degradation
- Oversee monitoring, management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of servers (all OS: Windows/Linux), OSS/BSS (billing/provisioning), CAS/DRM, and related core platforms
- Drive programming/development of custom automation scripts/tools for operational efficiency and core network management
- Establish advanced monitoring, alerting, performance reporting, and trend analysis processes
- Maintain comprehensive records of incidents, changes, resolutions, and lessons learned
- Ensure core infrastructure meets company policies, SLAs, and international standards
- Flexible working hours, including on-call rotations for critical core network escalations
- Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by the Core Network Manager / CTO
Job Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years in ISP/telecom core network engineering, with extensive data center / backbone experience
- Expert knowledge of IP networking, HFC, GPON/FTTH, IPTV, VoIP, satellite/Wireless backbone, firewalls, OSS/BSS, and multi-vendor environments (Juniper, Cisco, Huawei, Nokia, etc.)
- Proven expertise in core architecture design, redundancy, and high-availability systems
- Strong scripting/automation (Python, Bash, etc.)
- Relevant advanced certifications (CCIE, JNCIE, Nokia SR, etc.) strongly preferred.
