Job Description

Join a dynamic team as the first point of contact for the customer. Motivate and oversee the floor sales team to increase turnover. Responsible for merchandising and replenishing of the shelves, general tidiness and ad hoc tasks as defined by the management team.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Assisting Customers on the shop floor
• Overseeing the floor sales team and providing motivational and technical training
• Driving sales across all categories of products to increase turnover
• Organising and handling the replenishment of shelves across all sections of the store
• Maintaining the shop floor, making sure that the shelves remain tidy, full and labelled at all times.
• To be the daily link between the management team and line staff
• Cashing up the daily takings
• To ensure that ad hoc tasks given by the management team are completed

Profile

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

• Possess practical problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritise and multitask with a flexible approach to the workload
• Excellent communication and customer handling skills
• Success in sales techniques
• Fluent in English, French and Creole

Qualifications

• Candidate must have relevant experience in a similar field in the retail industry
• Candidate must be computer literate
• Candidate should be able to work under pressure
• Candidate should be physically fit and able to undertake some more strenuous tasks from time to time
