SHOP FLOOR SUPERVISOR

Job Description

To lead and motivate the Floor Sales Team to achieve targets, deliver superior service and ensure efficient day-to-day sales floor operations.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Driving sales across all product categories to increase turnover and achieve overall sales targets.
• Assisting customers on the shop floor while providing accurate and technical information and product advice to meet their needs.
• Overseeing the floor sales team, merchandising, and providing ongoing encouragement and support and assist with delivering technical product training to enhance product knowledge, customer service and sales performance.
• Managing the handover and cashiering of daily takings, training cashiers, and ensuring all cash-handling procedures are consistently followed.
• Preparing quotations and invoices, follow up on Purchase Orders and analyse customers purchasing trends to identify opportunities to increase sales.
• Co-ordinating social media campaigns and managing the social media engagements.
• Responsible for controlling and monitoring stock movements in accordance with company procedures.
• To be the daily link between management and the team.

Profile

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

• Possess practical problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritise and multitask with a flexible approach to the workload and able to handle pressure.
• Excellent communication and customer handling skills
• Fluent in English, French and Creole

Qualifications

• Diploma in Sales & Marketing and or Customer Service
• Must have relevant experience and a record of successful sales in a similar field preferably in the retail industry.
• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
• Should be physically fit and able to undertake some more strenuous tasks from time to time.
