Job Role

The Skipper is ultimately responsible for the safety of the vessel, passengers and crew and as such, carries a duty of care to all on board.

• Responsible for loading and unloading cargo, using various ropes and knots.
• Maintain and ensure the upkeep of the water vessels, jetties, marine equipment’s to a clean standard, jointly with all crew and volunteers.
• Maintain a regular maintenance schedule and handover logging for the water vessels.
• Assisting with watchkeeping duties.
• Monitor weather, tides and local conditions.

Location

Anonyme Island, East coast of Mahe, opposite to the Seychelles International Airport.

Working Hours

Day Shift: 8.00am to 5.00pm

Night Shift: 5.00pm to 8.00am

(Inclusive of One hour lunch/dinner + Fifteen minutes break time)

Job Type

Full Time Contract, Five days a week – two days off (rotate)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the same position.
• International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers (STCW).
• Certificate of discharge (seaman record book).
• Creative, energetic & ability to work in a team.
• Multitasking, flexible and & high level of Customer service.
