Job Description
Duties to involve & include:
- Menu planning: Helping to develop and design menus, including creating new items and pricing
- Kitchen operations: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Staff management: Supervising and training kitchen staff, including line cooks and prep cooks
- Inventory management: Tracking inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring the kitchen has the right ingredients
- Quality control: Maintaining quality standards, including ensuring equipment is up to date and food is safe to eat
- Cost control: Managing food costs and ensuring the kitchen is running efficiently
- Health and safety: Ensuring the kitchen is clean and safe, and that staff are following health and safety regulations
- Administrative duties: Handling administrative tasks, such as scheduling staff shifts
