Job Description

Job Purpose 

A Spa supervisor is ultimately responsible in assisting the recreation and spa manager in overseeing the spa operations and team to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while managing annual revenue targets. 

Nature and Scope of Position 

The Spa supervisor ensures a seamless operation and exceptional guest experience within the spa facilities.  The position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including overseeing daily spa operations,  managing TMs schedules, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Collaborating with  various departments, such as housekeeping and marketing, is integral to maintaining a cohesive and  integrated approach to service delivery. Moreover, Spa supervisor plays a key role in staff training and  development, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. With a focus on guest satisfaction and operational efficiency, this position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a hospitality environment.

Principle Accountabilities  

  • Assist in managing overall operations of the spa. 
  • Conduct daily briefings and provide guidance and support to staff. 
  • Supervise and carry out procedures, have current knowledge of treatments, and ensuring all treatments  comply with current legislation and company standards. 
  • Report and follow up on any repairs or maintenance issues promptly. 
  • Supervise the spa team members to evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and conduct  regular performance evaluations. 
  • Drive the team to meet and exceed agreed revenue targets. 
  • Encourage staff to upsell services and retail products. 
  • Ensure guest experience is proficient including bookings, payments and rescheduling.
  • Oversee daily financial transactions, including cash handling and deposits. 
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
  • Assist in coordinating events, classes, and workshops to enhance guest experience.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels for spa products. 
  • Coordinate with vendors to order necessary products and ensure timely delivery.
  • Assist in recruiting, managing, training and developing the team. 
  • Manage customer feedback effectively to ensure continuous service and programmed improvement.
  • Instill brand values and standards to maintain quality on a daily basis. 
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Liaise with other hotel departments. 
  • Assist in responding to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved. 
  • Maintain awareness of department security related to cash, stock and equipment and ensure all  department procedures are followed. 
  • Ensure health, safety and COSHH regulations are complied with and club rules are observed by members,  clients and guests. 
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings. 
  • Develop and implement promotional offers, packages to increase sales. 
  • Make recommendations for improvements or additions to services based on market trends.

General  

  • Contributes to the morale and team spirit of the hotel by maintaining effective relationships with  colleagues. 
  • Performs additional duties as directed by supervisors. 
  • Makes appropriate suggestions and recommendations to supervisors for the general improvement of the  hotel. 
  • Is fully conversant with al health and safety, fire and emergency procedures. 
  • Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, and body language.
  • Is polite and professional in any situation where the image or reputation of the hotel is represented.
  • Attends meetings and training as required by supervisors. 
  • Ensures that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and within the parameters of the Seychelles local law. 
  • Interacts with guests actively and soliciting feedback.
