Job Description

Job summary

Support the collection, analysis, and interpretation of statistical data to inform business decisions and strategic planning. Assist in forecasting trends using various analytical tools and contribute to survey design and reporting.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

Data Collection & Analysis

  • Gather and compile company data on a regular basis.
  • Assist in analysing data for internal and external reporting using visual tools such as charts, graphs, and tables.
  • Conduct research on relevant economic indicators and industry trends.
  • Prepare data submissions for internal stakeholders and external organisations.
  • Ensure secure and organised storage of data for future reference.
  • Produce periodic reports (weekly, monthly, annual) summarizing key metrics and insights.

Forecasting & Modelling

  • Perform short-, medium-, and long-term forecasting using appropriate statistical and analytical models.
  • Apply various forecasting techniques to improve accuracy and reliability.
  • Forecast key performance indicators such as demand, capacity, and resource utilisation.

Survey & Research Activities

  • Design and conduct surveys targeting relevant stakeholder groups (e.g., customers, employees).
  • Assist in questionnaire development, data collection, and result compilation.
  • Support the presentation of findings to internal and external audiences.
  • Follow up on survey outcomes and coordinate with relevant departments for action.

Administrative & Reporting Support

  • Contribute to the development of departmental reports, work plans, and documentation.
  • Organize meetings and record minutes related to data and forecasting activities.
  • Provide input for speeches, publications, and strategic documents.

Job Requirements

Entry requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field

OR

  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Statistics or equivalent with relevant experience

AND

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, forecasting, or a related role
