Job Description
Position Summary
Seeking a dedicated and hardworking Steward to join our kitchen team and support kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, ensuring proper sanitation standards, and assisting with the handling of kitchen equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and workstations.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure proper waste disposal and garbage segregation.
- Support kitchen team by ensuring availability of clean utensils and equipment.
- Maintain hygiene standards in accordance with HACCP requirements.
- Assist in receiving and storing supplies properly.
- Clean and maintain stewarding equipment.
- Ensure proper chemical handling and storage procedures.
- Support banquet and event setup with equipment movement when required.
Job Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen environment preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
