Job Description
Job Purpose
The Technical Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining and improving the digital systems that support the organization’s processes and its users. They act as smart hands and feet for the infra and applications at site and are the point of contact for the business users at site for their incident resolution via the service desk. They leverage their technical expertise in infra and applications (including nuances of sites) to ensure business continuity and smooth operation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain systems that meet the organization’s needs.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and availability of the systems.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, quality assurance (QA), architects, and project managers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and specifications.
- Perform system administration tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues and outages.
- Perform unit testing, system testing, and integration testing.
- Identify and fix defects and bugs.
- Implement security best practices and measures to protect the organization’s systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Responsible for providing support for local applications and infrastructure at sites.
- Support service desk and end users for resolution of incidents and restoring availability of apps and infrastructure at site.

Job Requirements
Basic Requirements
- Relevant hands-on experience and demonstrated technical capability and-or relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA for Infrastructure Engineer, Microsoft Certified Developer for Application Engineer) are a plus
- Proficiency in relevant technologies and tools
- 2-5 years of experience in a technical role relevant to either infrastructure or application development.
