Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the telephone systems in the Call Centre with the aim to ensure efficient service delivery as expected of the public
- Coordinate communications with staff involved in operations and emergency/standby services as per stipulated in the Standard Operating Procedures
- Record and inputs all activities of the emergency services in the ‘live’ OS Ticket and ensure close up of requests and complaints
- Ensure continuity of communication systems at all times by testing and pursuit of fault repairs
- Report all abnormal occurrences or un-resolved complaints to the Shift Supervisors, Senior Supervisor, Breakdown Team Supervisors/Superintendent and Standby Engineers
- Escalate critical matters to the Manager Corporate Call Centre
- Strictly participate in the shift handover process at the beginning and end of each Shift.
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience
- Post-Secondary level of education or
- Secondary level of education with experience as Telephone Operator, receptionist or Front Office
- ICT Proficiency
- Fluent in English, French and Creole both written and spoken
- Good Interpersonal & Communication Skills
Personal attributes
- Must be responsible and reliable
- Must be self-motivated and able to perform shift duties
- Must be prepared to perform duties as the need arises given that PUC is an essential service provider
- Must be knowledgeable with the processes and department of the Company
