Air Seychelles is in search of a Transport Manager who will be responsible for the safe, reliable, efficient and cost-effective management of staff transportation services including the management of the use, allocation and maintenance of all Company vehicles fleet.
Job Description
A summary of your responsibilities will include but not necessarily limited to the following:
- Manage the daily staff transportation operation on a 24/7 basis. Oversee the preparation of staff rosters to ensure appropriate operations coverage.
- Develop and maintain staff transportation policies, procedures, routes, schedules, and service standards.
- Plan, organize and manage the work of Transport Supervisors, plus overseeing their selection, recruitment, coaching and performance.
- Handle the administration, welfare and discipline of reporting staff. Investigate transportation incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain effective communication with relevant departments regarding changes to employee transportation. Ensure proper collaboration with other business partners to ensure successful operations at all times.
- Optimize routes, vehicle capacity, pickup points, and schedules to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs. Ensure crew transportation is aligned with reporting times, and applicable operational departments. Maintain contingency arrangements for critical transport routes and operational disruptions.
- Prepare annual budget for the Transport Department, monitor expenses vs budget and take corrective actions where required.
- Monitor transportation activities in real time and take corrective action when delays, breakdowns, traffic disruptions and other issues occur.

Job Requirements
Our Preferred Profile:
- Degree holder or Diploma ideally in a relevant discipline or the equivalent education as a minimum qualification.
- 5 years of relevant transport management experience with 2-3 years in supervisory or management position.
- Experience managing 24/7 transport operation, third-party providers and service contracts is highly desirable.
- Experience in managing operational budgets and costs control.
- Experience in route planning, drive management and operational scheduling.
- Excellent decision-making, influencing, negotiating and inter-personal skills
- Good computer literacy
- Good knowledge of transport safety and vehicle management requirements.
- Holder of a valid Driving License No.5
