Job Description

Purpose
To assist the Warehouse Supervisor with Finished Goods & Spirits warehouse on Praslin and La Digue, ensuring that all receiving, storage, and issuing activities are executed in a controlled, compliant, and efficient environment. The Warehouse assistant drives stock accuracy, safety standards, and operational excellence whilst embodying SBL’s mission of delivering world-class brand experiences and its vision of igniting Seychelles pride through every case handled.
Top Accountabilities
- Stock Receiving & Control – Receive, verify, and accurately record finished goods and empties (crates, bottles, pallets) in the ERP system, ensuring quality, batch, and BBD checks at point of entry.
- Issuing & Dispatch – Release stock against authorized Dispatch Notes and Depot Transfer Notes, ensuring accurate documentation and sign-off on all outbound movements.
- Stock Accuracy & Reconciliation – Conduct daily stock counts, reconcile against system records, enforce FIFO, and proactively manage stock nearing Best Before Date to minimize expiry losses.
- Warehouse Organization & Housekeeping – Maintain a clean, well-labelled, and properly organized warehouse with correct pallet configurations and regular equipment checks.
- Health, Safety & Compliance – Champion a Zero Harm culture through PPE compliance, safety inspections, toolbox talks, and adherence to SBL and Seychelles regulatory standards.
- Team Leadership & Development – Build a team culture grounded in SBL’s core behaviours: Ownership, Integrity, Curiosity, Run the Extra Mile, Make It Happen.
- Stakeholder & Customer Management – Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams (sales, distribution, logistics) and external stakeholders (contractors, customers), communicating proactively on stock status and risks.
- KPIs & Reporting – Deliver accurate, timely inventory and stockage reports; track and act on key KPIs (OTIF/NE, CFR, Inventory Accuracy); contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
Qualifications + Experience
- Diploma in Business Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (or 3+ years’ equivalent experience)
- Proven warehouse/stores management experience, ideally in FMCG or beverages
- Experience in high-volume receiving, storage, dispatch, stock counting, and reconciliation
- Prior supervisory experience of a small operational team
- Hands-on ERP/warehouse management system experience
- Valid forklift license an advantage
