Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor, reporting to the General Manager is responsible for supervising, training and directing the warehouse operations that include and are not limited to loading / unloading receiving, sorting, storing, picking and packing, requisitioning from warehouse to floor and inventory control.  The Supervisor needs to lead the team to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• To oversee the daily warehouse operations ensuring efficiency and effectives controls.
• Lead, train and manage the warehouse team to follow the requisition process and best practices.
• Co-ordinate receiving and offloading containers together with the Procurement Logistics department.
• Plan the layout of the warehouse to optimise space and ensure effective inventory control.
• Identify slow moving items and provide recommendations to management to reduce stock and increase revenue.
• Lead the team for preparation and counting of products in the warehouse for stock take.
• Picking and packing orders for all products in the warehouse for delivery to the floor, and to customers on Mahe and outer islands.
• Introducing new systems to improve controls and efficiency in the warehouse.
• Preparation of Reports as required by management.

• Strong Management and leadership skills
• Flexible approach to handling duties and drive to achieve the company’s goal
• Attention to detail and organised method of working
• Spoken and written English and French
• Ability to work additional hours when required in accordance with the demands of the post
• Ability to work under pressure

Qualifications

• Diploma in Warehouse Supervision
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft application and ERP systems
• Class 2 + 4 Driver’s license
• Ability to operate a Forklift
• Minimum 5 years experiences in a similar position
