Seychelles has a new platform for advertising of job vacancies.
JOBO is a new online job board for posting and finding jobs in Seychelles and it went live symbolically on Labour Day 2017.
Founded by Hervé Chang-Yunn in September 2016, JOBO is Seychelles’ first online job board with an integrated ecommerce solution that will enable employers to post their jobs at short notice to a world-wide audience and candidates the opportunity to find and apply for their dream job with much more ease and speed.
“Finding suitable talent here in Seychelles is always difficult, let alone finding the right candidate, whenever there is a new job opening, at all levels. For an employer, this is a long and costly process and we believed that there just had to be another solution. Thus, JOBO was developed in order to help employers have more control and get more value for their advertising money whilst reducing their overall recruitment costs. For this reason, we are giving employers the opportunity to list their jobs for up to 30 days at a time and this will significantly increase their chances of finding more suitable candidates to choose, be it locally or internationally” said Mr. Chang-Yunn.
In addition to being able to post multiple jobs in minutes, employers will also be able to receive and review applications within minutes of posting their jobs. Similarly, candidates can also post or create their CV on JOBO and market their hard earned skills and qualifications to potential employers with much more convenience.
As part of its promotional launch campaign, Mr. Chang-Yunn highlighted that “JOBO is offering free and unlimited job listing for all employers, including banner advertising opportunities. Thus, I am encouraging all employers to seize this one-time opportunity to sign-up and post their jobs now.”
“Similarly, we are also encouraging anybody that is looking for a first job or a new job altogether to sign-up on JOBO, as it is absolutely free to do so. We are adding new employers and new jobs on a daily basis and surely there will be something that will be of interest” he added.
JOBO will also offer candidates various benefits, such as the opportunity to be headhunted by an employer provided that they have registered their CV on the site and search for jobs based on their interest, preferred location and the industry that they wish to work in. Additionally, candidates can also apply for multiple jobs in a matter of clicks and get a timely feedback from employers even when they are on the go. With its job notification feature, JOBO will also be able to notify candidates when jobs that match their career expectations are posted on the site.
“It is true that traditionally, employers here in Seychelles have always used print media for vacancy advertising and whilst this is the culture that we are up against, the fact that JOBO is an online platform and given that people are always online, especially the younger generations on their mobile phones, we are very excited about the future potential of JOBO and the value that it will offer both employers and candidates here in Seychelles. Our goal is for JOBO to be a leading advertising platform for businesses here in Seychelles and one that inspires people to improve and succeed in their lives” concluded Mr. Chang-Yunn.
The site is accessible from www.jobo.sc and employers and candidates can also visit the company’s Facebook Page on www.facebook.com/joboseychelles. For more information about the job and advertising packages on offer, please call +248 2501354 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
