Job Summary:

Summer Rain Tours is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support our financial decision-making processes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and will work closely with management to drive the Summer Rain Tour’s financial success.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting the company’s growth through sound financial practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management:

• Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Seychelles accounting standards.
• Handle VAT returns, corporate tax filings, and other statutory reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with tour operations and sales teams to track revenue, expenses, and profitability of tour packages.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
• Oversee the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses.
• Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, depreciation, and inventory.
• Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting and internal controls.

2. Bookkeeping:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable operations.
• Process invoices, receipts, and payments efficiently.
• Maintain general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded.

3. Compliance and Auditing:

• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
• Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.

4. Financial Reporting:

• Prepare financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Analyze variances between actual and budgeted performance.

5. Support and Advisory:

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
• Assist in strategic planning and decision-making processes.

6. Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with other departments to support financial activities.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Relevant accounting certifications (e.g., ACCA) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the tourism or hospitality industry.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
