Job Description
Role Summary
The Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of all customer-related financial transactions. This role plays a key part in maintaining healthy cash flow by managing invoices, credit notes, customer account reconciliations, bank postings, and cash inflow forecasting. The officer also supports business decision making by providing ageing analysis, and ensuring customers receive up to date account statements and reminders. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and customer service are essential in this position.
Top Accountabilities
- Invoice & Credit Note Management for all customers
- Posting of customer bank transactions and ensuring correct allocation
- Investigate and clear all unallocated customer receipts
- Customer communication and reporting on all finance-related processes
- Compute all customer related expenses for financial posting
- Support audit queries on account receivables
- Prepare and maintain incoming cashflow forecast
- Identify and communicate risks for customer transactions
Job Requirements
Qualifications + Experience
- Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting) or an equivalent or higher qualification
- 2–3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable or similar finance role
- Experience in FMCG or commercial finance environment is an advantage
Skills & Competencies Required
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable process
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central, SAP, or similar)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- High numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Professional communication with customers and internal teams
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
