To bring this vision to life, we are now recruiting passionate, skilled, and dedicated individuals to join our team.

Job Description

The Assistant Conservation & Sustainability Manager supports the management and delivery of the island’s conservation and sustainability programmes. The role combines hands-on terrestrial and marine fieldwork, scientific monitoring, sustainability projects, team supervision and guest engagement, while supporting the protection of the island’s biodiversity and natural environment.

Main Tasks

  • Conduct and coordinate terrestrial and marine conservation monitoring and fieldwork.
  • Support habitat restoration, species protection, biodiversity monitoring and sustainability projects.
  • Collect, analyse and report conservation and sustainability data.
  • Supervise and support Conservation hosts, interns, students and volunteers.
  • Lead guest conservation experiences including nature walks, wildlife monitoring and other nature-based activities.
  • Support environmental education, sustainability awareness and community initiatives.
  • Assist with project coordination, reporting and departmental operations.

Job Requirement

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Biology, Ecology, Conservation, Environmental Science, Marine Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant professional experience in conservation, sustainability or environmental management.
  • Strong practical experience in scientific monitoring and field-based conservation.
  • Previous supervisory and project management experience.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including QGIS, Excel, R or similar software.
  • Experience in nature guiding, environmental education or guest-facing conservation activities.
  • Minimum Rescue Diver certification or equivalent with at least 50 logged dives.
  • Strong swimming, snorkelling and marine fieldwork capabilities.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in tropical terrestrial and marine environments.
  • Experience in remote island operations, nature-based tourism or luxury hospitality is highly desirable.
