Job Description
Authorisation Officer
International Trade Zone Section
Job Purpose: Draft and revise ITZ/HP policies, procedures and guidelines and provide technical analysis to the evaluation of ITZ applications, procedures\policies and acts in accordance with the respective legislation.
Summary of Duties:
- Reviewing and evaluating licence applications and renewals in accordance with the relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate potential projects, conduct qualitative assessments and provide recommendations on associated risks and opportunities.
- Develop, review and implement policies, procedures and guidelines relating to ITZ/HP operations.
- Monitor licensees’ compliance with applicable legislation and regulatory requirements through on and off-site reviews.
- Conduct industry research, market analysis and economic impact assessments to support sector development.
- Prepare reports, statistical analyses, presentations and briefs to support management decision-making.
- Identify and recommend improvements to licensing processes, systems and operational procedures.
- Liaise with stakeholders, regulatory authorities and industry participants, providing relevant information and guidance.
- Support communication initiatives, respond to client enquiries and assist in the training and development of new staff.

Job Requirements
Minimum Entry Requirements:
- Degree in Economics or Business Administration or any relevant equivalent professional qualification
- Or minimum A Level Graduate with 3 years of relevant work experience
- Relevant postgraduate /professional qualification is a plus but not a requirement
