Position: Bank Clerk

Responsible to: Head of Customer Service

Job Description

Job Summary:

Improving customers’ banking experience with the bank by ensuring that the customers are attended to and all their challenges are resolved in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend to customers promptly and efficiently;
  • Advise customers on best account suited for their purpose and applicable rules and regulations
  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirement and in-house policies and standards;
  • Assist customer with Online Banking queries, request and collection of Electron Cards;
  • Open/close Accounts and obtain relevant documents;
  • Attend to enquiries and complaints from customers’ and escalate promptly where required;
  • Attend to Front Office transactions and postings;
  • Follow security procedures and minimise security risks at all times;
  • Undertake Filing Duties.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate in Banking or Diploma Business Studies, Office Management or Front Office Operations, or A Level in English and Business Studies, or Accounting with experience in Customer Service.
  • 2 years’ banking experience and Customer Service Excellence Achievement would be of advantage.

  • Ability to listen to customers and negotiate solutions
  • Ability to process data entry and analysis quickly and correctly
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to handle pressure and deliver workload
  • Good written communication, interpersonal and team building skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel
