Position: Cashier
Responsible to: Head of Cash
Job Description
Job Summary:
Improving customers’ banking experience by attending to cash transactions ensuring that customers’ accounts are debited and credited accurately and maintaining a high level of customer service in compliance with Bank Regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend to all Customers’ cash transactions and identify when to refer customers to an appropriate area of delivery for specialist sales, help or advise;
- Receive deposits, verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification and issue receipts of deposits;
- Process cash withdrawals, verify endorsements, ensure proper identification and validity;
- Update Customers’ account;
- Maintain cash books neatly and correctly;
- Comply with all Banking Regulations, Policies and Procedures, Guidelines, Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Know your Customer (KYC) Policies;
- Maintain cash insured limit by depositing surplus, bundled as per requirement, to the vault and withdrawing from the vault when necessary;
- Maintain error log and reports;

Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate in Business Management, Reception Operations or Book-Keeping; or
- Post Secondary level with IGCSE in English and Mathematics or Book-Keeping
- Preferably 2 years’ experience in customer service and cash handling and understanding of accounting principles and book-keeping

- Strong level of accuracy, speedy processing, and highly detail oriented;
